Health Education
It is extremely important for patients to understand their medical condition and how to care for themselves or loved ones. The nursing staff will provide ongoing teaching to patients during a hospital stay. Specially-trained registered nurses are available as resources for specific health programs. Teaching is done on an individual basis, as well as in group discussions.
In addition, many Health Education Classes are scheduled throughout the year for the community and include:
- Diabetes Self-Management
- CPR Certification and Renewal
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support & Renewal (for healthcare professionals)
- ACLS (for healthcare professionals)
- Prenatal
- Safe Sitter
