10th Annual Golf Tournament nets over $35,000 for JC Blair Memorial Hospital Foundation

It was a beautiful afternoon for golf when thirty-two teams played for prizes and bragging rights at the JC Blair Medical Staff sponsored golf tournament at Standing Stone Golf Course on August 13th.  The goal of this year’s tournament was to raise funds to purchase new Patient Controlled Analgesic (PCA) pumps throughout the hospital.  These pumps are state of the art pain management equipment that provide medication to patients as needed and are programmed for patient safety.

There were winners in two divisions.  The top team in Division I was sponsored by R&M Distributors:  Ryan Strickler, Bob Rightenour, Dave Fyock and Ed McEwen.  The second place team was sponsored by Geoff and Cindy Clarke:  Geoff Clarke, Keith Black, Al Weyant and Ed Gargula. 

The top team in Division II was sponsored by MeadWestvaco:  Perry Smith, Randy Norris, Bernie Huebner, and Brad Reiter.  The second place team was sponsored by Balfurd’s Healthcare & Linen Rental:  Bob Fogelsanger, Matt Schraf, Roy Reeve, and Bill Barnes. 

Prizes were also awarded to the 10th place team – in honor of the tournament’s tenth year.  The tenth place team was sponsored by HealthSouth Rehabilitation:  Scott Filler, Dr. Rakesh Patel, James Jonosik, and Doug Helsey.

Skill prizes were awarded to Kevin Steel: longest putt on #18, Larry Mitchell: closest to the pin on #4, Angie Thompson: straightest drive on #13, Ryan Strickler: longest drive (men) on #15, Dana Yakimczyk: longest drive (women) on #15 and Larry Johnson was closest to the pin on #11 with a hole in one.
