13th Annual Golf Tournament Nets over $38,000

for the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Foundation

The rain did not dampen enthusiasm of the thirty-two teams that played for prizes and bragging rights at the J.C. Blair Medical Staff sponsored golf tournament at Standing Stone Golf Course on August 3rd.  The J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Foundation raises funds to enhance services at the Hospital.

This year there were first and second place winners in three divisions.  The top team in Division I was sponsored by Strickler’s Ice, Bottled Water and Cold Beer – Ed Strickler, Ryan Strickler, Dustin Border, & Matt Young.  Second place team:  Geoff and Cindy Clarke & Keith and Suzie Black – Geoff Clarke, Keith Black, Glenn Miller, & Mark Knaub.

The top team in Division II was sponsored by Thorp, Reed & Armstrong – Rick Sica, Charles O’Hara, Jeff Gordon, & John Cook.  The Division II second place team:  QHR - Mike Halstead, Dave Balsofiore, Frank DeMar, & Joe Masciangelo.

 The top team in Division III was sponsored by Dick’s Homecare – Justin Rydbom, Jesse Logue, Mark Garrett, & Andy Wagner. The Division III second place team:  Huntingdon Healthcare, Inc. – Russ Sharpless, Matt Sharpless, Todd Watson, & Jim Zauzig

Prizes were also awarded to the 13th place team overall – in honor of the tournament’s thirteenth year.  The 13th place team was sponsored by Mutual Benefit Group – John Hanna, Rick Laabs, Mark Russell, & Joe Sloan.

Skill prize winners were: # 4 Closest to the Pin - Bill Yaudes, Kish Bank; #11 Closest to the Pin - Ken Sowers, Mitch’s Gang Team;  #15 Longest Drive Men - Bill Landis, MJEM’s Photos Team;  #15 Longest Drive Women - Jackie Rummel, Highmark;  #18 Longest Putt - Joe Peluso, VALIC Team
