J.C. Blair Nurse Educator Val Rupert, RN, places a bid on a baking basket created by the J.C. Blair Radiology Department. J.C. Blair employees and others put together over 35 themed gift baskets for a silent auction to benefit J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. The baskets are on display in the Hospitalís old gift shop through Friday at noon, and the community is invited to come and bid on them. The silent auction continues throughout the Jamminí Caribbean Bash on Saturday evening where they will be auctioned off.

Blair employees and others put together over 35 themed gift baskets for a silent auction to benefit J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. The baskets are on display in the Hospitalís old gift shop through Friday at noon, and the community is invited to come and bid on them. The silent auction continues throughout the Jamminí Caribbean Bash on Saturday evening where they will be auctioned off.

Reservations Not Needed

Although over 180 reservations have been made for this Saturdayís Jamminí Caribbean Bash, the Auxiliary invites those who havenít yet made plans for Saturday night to join in the fun. This benefit event for J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital will be hosted by the Huntingdon Country Club on Saturday, from 8 p.m. to midnight. The cost is $40 for individuals and $60 for couples.

Some of the fun will be the auctioning off of 35 gift baskets containing food and wine items, sporting goods, games, perfumes and toiletries, and many other fine gift items. They are currently on display in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital gift shop. There will also be a drawing for a cruise to the Caribbean. The Caribbean Cruise will be for two people, and will be drawn at 10:00 p.m. for those who buy chances. The lucky winners will spend seven nights on the cruise trip. It will depart from State College or Lewistown with all meals and entertainment provided while on board, with Kish Travel as host. Chances for the cruise are $10 and will be available at the event.

Come and join us for a night of fun with our Caribbean themed party. You can wear Hawaiian shirts and Bermuda shorts! Wear whatever you want, just as long as you are comfortable.

This event will also feature the Randy Jackson Band who will be playing some of the best music you can find this side of the Caribbean for your listening and dancing pleasure.

Food will be provided by Huntingdon Country Club Chef David Lightner and his staff and will feature many Caribbean themed food items such as Jerk Chicken, Cuban sandwiches, coconut shrimp, and many other tasty morsels. These foods will be served buffet style giving you a chance taste many interesting dishes.
