J.C. Blair Announces New Food & Nutrition Services Director
J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the promotion of Registered Dietitian Katy Petrosky, MS, RD, LDN, to Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
"Katy brings with her the education and abilities to lead this department in a quality manner," said J.C. Blair Chief Nursing Office and Vice President of Patient Care Pam Matthias.
As J.C. Blair's Director of Food and Nutrition Services, Petrosky's new responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Department including meal planning, preparation and service, as well as dietitian services provided to the hospital and the community. The Food and Nutrition Services Department is rolling out new hospital and nursing home (HNRC) menus beginning July 1st. They also have a new, more modern dietary computer system that will aid is in continuing to provide patients with accurate diets and quality food.
Petrosky graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master's degree in Medical Dietetics in March 2010. While studying at Ohio State, she was a dietetic intern at McConnell Heart Health Center and Regency Manor Long-Term Acute Care Facility. She earned her Bachelor of Science in marketing with a minor in nutritional sciences from The Pennsylvania State University. She currently lives in State College with her husband Brian.
"I hope to see the Food and Nutrition Services Department move forward while continuing to provide high quality food, beverages and dietitian services to J.C. Blair, the Huntingdon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the community," said Petrosky. "I could not be happier to continue to work with the folks at J.C. Blair. I have had so much support as I have taken on this new role and I feel confident in the continued support from the J.C. Blair family and the community."
