The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. Congratulates Dr. Nathani

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) congratulates, Dr. Shujaat Ali Nathani, M.D., an ABPN diplomate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Nathani successfully passed the Maintenance of Certification Examination in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry on April 2, 2012.

In maintaining Board certification, Dr. Nathani has shown continued dedication to excellence in the practice of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Participating in MOC means keeping current with rapidly advancing medical innovations, and striving to achieve quality clinical outcomes in a responsive, patient-focused setting. It means commitment to lifelong learning and on-going self-assessment in order to improve performance and efficiencies in practice. It means living a standard by which medical care is evaluated and demonstrating leadership in the national movement for healthcare quality.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) is a nonprofit corporation that was founded in 1934. Since 1935, when its first examination was delivered, the ABPN has been serving the public interest and promoting excellence in the practices of psychiatry and neurology through its certification and maintenance of certification processes. These processes are designed to identify qualified specialists through rigorous credential and training requirements and successful completion of its board examinations for psychiatry, neurology, or neurology with special qualification in child neurology, and several subspecialties. The ABPN is a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

J.C. Blair’s Behavioral Health Services include a children’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and a 13-bed adult inpatient unit. Under the direction of Dr. Nathani, the staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurse assistants, clinical social workers and licensed counselors.
