J.C. Blair Recognizes Health Information and Technology Professionals
J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital celebrated Health Information and Technology Week, November 6-12, 2011. The focus of Health Information and Technology Week is to raise awareness and celebrate the evolution of HIM and HIT professionals, and the benefits of their profession working collectively to deliver quality healthcare through quality information. This year’s event was themed, “Accurate Health Information for Care YOU Trust.”

The health information management (HIM) and health information technology (HIT) professionals play an integral role in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare industry. Because of the numerous complexities within the current healthcare landscape, well trained and technologically sound HIM and HIT professionals are very important for the efficient organization and management of health information. It is because of these professionals that the healthcare industry will continue to grow and advance in patient care and safety.
