Shoemaker Named Honorary Chairperson at American Cancer Society's Daffodil Day Kick Off
Two time cancer survivor, advocate and volunteer Shelby Shoemaker was named Honorary Chairperson of the American Cancer Society’s 2011 Daffodil Days campaign at the kick off breakfast hosted by J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 27. Shoemaker, seated, was joined by community members involved in this year’s campaign including (left to right) Susan Fisher, FCI; Cheri Shope, FCI; Cindy Lane, Meadwestvaco; Beth Williams, current president of Huntingdon’s ACS Volunteer Leadership Council, Juniata College; Melody Komir, Mount Union Area High School; Marie Costello, American Cancer Society; Connie Homolash; Danielle Strauser, Mutual Benefit Group; Jess Maxon, Juniata College; Courtney DeGemmis, Juniata College; Chris Gildea, J.C.
