J.C. Blair’s Charity Ball – It's a Fandango!
The Auxiliary to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital will host the 58th Annual Charity Ball on Saturday, November 8th, from 8 p.m. until midnight at the Huntingdon Country Club.
Fandango, a Spanish word meaning “go and dance,” is the theme for this year’s Charity Ball. This annual event is being organized by chairwomen Ellen Filson and Bonnie Haverstock and will feature Spanish dancing, decorations, and festive foods including Spanish Tapas, sangria and Spanish beer. By popular demand, the Fabulous Flashbacks will provide a variety of music for dancing. A Seven Points Marina Houseboat Rental will be the highlight of a silent auction.
The Charity Ball, first started in 1948, has raised money for special projects throughout the Hospital ranging from examining lights and an infant security system to a mammography system and specialized equipment for the Endoscopy Center. Three J.C. Blair Departments will benefit from the proceeds of the Charity Ball this year: Surgery, Outpatient and Maternity – where specially designed chairs will aid in treatments and procedures.
The board, staff and administration of J.C. Blair, as well as members of the Charity Ball Committee, invite everyone to support the Hospital through this festive event. To make reservations or for information on sponsorship opportunities, call the J.C. Blair Community Relations Office at 643-8833.
