J.C. Blair and Safe Kids Present Newborn Safety Kit to New Year's Baby
J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital and Safe Kids of Huntingdon County presented the J.C. Blair New Yearís Baby Colson Lee Holden, of Three Springs, with a newborn safety kit and convertible car seat. Colson arrived at 1:59 p.m. on January 1, 2011, to become J.C. Blairís first delivery of the new year. He weighed 6 pounds, 9.6 ounces and measured 19 inches long when delivered by Obstetrician/Gynecologist Dr. Kenneth Lee.
Pictured with Colson are his parents Teresa Knepper and Aaron Holden, along with (at right) J.C. Blair Nurse Betty Younker, LPN. Grandparents are Gary Holden, Shirleysburg; Donna Brown, Three Springs; Roger & Betty Rhodes, McConnellsburg; and the late Robert L. Sowers.
The newborn safety kit included a convertible car seat and a bag filled with plug protectors, cabinet locks, a smoke and fire alarm (from the Huntingdon Kiwanis Club), a baby bath temperature tester, window blind cord wind-ups, door knob covers, furniture wall straps, and baby spoon from The Auxiliary to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, and a variety of other health and safety items, books and brochures.
