Local Historians to Speak at J.C. Blair Annual Auxiliary Meeting
The Auxiliary to the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital invites its members and the community to the 97th Annual Meeting on Monday, November 8, 2010, at 12 noon in the J.C. Blair Education Center. Cost for the luncheon is $5, payable at the door. Reservations are requested by November 4 and can be made by contacting the J.C. Blair Community Relations Office at (814) 643-8833.
The annual meeting will feature the installation of new officers and a program entitled “The History of the Auxiliary to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital” presented by authors of J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital’s 100th Anniversary Book Nancy Swigart Shedd and Alberta Haught Goshorn. Signed copies of the book will be available for sale at the luncheon for $23.31 including tax. Checks may be made payable to the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The Auxiliary to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital raises funds for projects of the Hospital. Most recently, the Auxiliary provided funds to the Hospital toward the purchase of a new C-Section table for the Maternity Department.
