J.C. Blair Kicks Off 60th Annual Charity Benefit With Chance to Win Diamond Prizes

The Auxiliary to the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital will host the 60th Annual Charity Benefit – 60 Years and Shining – on Saturday, November 20, 2010, from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. at the Huntingdon Country Club. Music will be provided by the Randy Jackson Band.

Co-chairs Cheryl Shope, Stephanie Strickler and Heather Black have selected the theme “60 Years and Shining” that will feature diamonds – the 60th anniversary stone - in honor of the 60th Anniversary of the event. The proceeds will benefit the Emergency Department at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital.

In addition to attending, there are many other ways to participate in making this fundraiser a success. Corporate packages are available for those interested in sponsorships. Raffle items or raffle baskets are also being accepted for auction at the event. Keeping with the diamond theme, there is a Charity Benefit Raffle for a ¾ karat loose diamond sponsored in part by Swartz Jewelry Company, a $500 travel voucher donated by Kish Bank and a diamond blade saw contributed by Sears hometown store in Huntingdon. The drawings will take place the night of the event. The winner need not be present to win. Raffle tickets are $10 each and may be purchased from a committee member, at the J.C. Blair Volunteer desk, or by calling the J.C. Blair Community Relations Office at (814) 643-8833.

Mark your calendar now and plan to attend. Invitations will be mailed in the coming weeks. For additional information, to offer assistance, or to be added to the mailing list, contact J.C. Blair Coordinator of Grants and Centennial Events Valerie Long at (814) 643-8827.
