As Huntingdon County's only primary care hospital, J. C. Blair is directed by a board of community leaders, employs a staff of nearly 500, and is supported by the service of nearly 60 volunteers. Eighty percent of J. C. Blair's active medical staff of over 50 physicians are board certified in their respective specialties, reflecting a dedication and commitment to provide the highest quality of care to J. C. Blair's patients.

All three leadership groups of the hospital - the board, medical staff and administration - continuously work together to identify and direct the priorities of the hospital through the development and implementation of a strategic plan. J. C. Blair's current strategic plan identifies four strategic initiatives:
